It has become a good tradition for PET Technologies to meet guests twice a year at its events. On February 28, the company pleased its partners and customers with a conference dedicated to blow molds and design – PET Packaging Design as an element of your success. The February conference is the 6th event of such a level and scale for the company.
Every visitor will have the opportunity to enjoy networking, listen to useful and relevant speeches on packaging design, learn the views of the client and manufacturer of well-known companies in the PET industry, give tricky questions and have live communication between guests.
But first things first.
The event brought together over 50 guests directly related to the PET industry, design, and product promotion. Maxim Poliansky, PET Technologies CEO, inaugurated the conference with a welcoming speech, shared recent achievements of the company.
Alena Muravchenko, Head of Marketing Department at Retal, and Natalia Kravchenko, Sales Director at Retal, Ukraine started series of speeches. The speakers talked about global trends in PET packaging, environmental friendliness, and innovation in packaging clearly demonstrated the savings in reducing the preform weight for the manufacturer of PET containers.
“Shelf success or What does the consumer wish?” This is the theme of the presentation made by Alla Strunga the Lead Engineer for the Introduction of New Types of Packaging, Carlsberg, Ukraine. She spoke about the leading and economical formats of Carlsberg Company, as well as about the versatility of PET container formats when only a bright label distinguishes one product from another. At the end of her speech, Alla presented the Carlsberg company product innovations, which will appear on store shelves only by the second half of 2020.
Valentina Skidan, a PET Technologies artist, made a vivid presentation about Emotional Design. Such design attracts our attention, causes a real surge of emotions and often prompts us to make a purchase. Valentina also examined in detail the effect of each color on consumer perception and the importance of choosing the right color for packaging.
Another report from PET Technologies was made by two more speakers- Roland Stourer, Executive Director of PET Technologies GmbH (Austria) and Igor Chepela, Head of PET Technologies mold design office. The speakers shared their achievements in pilot molds development in 1 day. They told about materials that are used to manufacture it; presented the ready-made mold and blown the bottle blown with the help of it.
Inna Sirchenko, the Head of Marketing at Askania FMCG, described their approach to choose design.
The conference about PET container design ended with a summary of the results and word of gratitude from Alexander Suvorov, the Head of the Board. In the end the visitors had an excursion to PET Technologies plant where blow molding equipment and blow molds are produced. The company representatives showed all the production areas, paying special attention to the blow mold manufacturing area.
