For the fifth time we met our customers and partners at the annual PET Technologies International Conference. Want to know how it was?
5th International PET Technologies Conference was held at the beginning of October in the Chernihiv city, Ukraine. On the 4th of October we welcomed above 80 guests from 13 countries of the world, among which were clients and partners of PET Technologies, as well as representatives of PET packaging industry media.
The conference was opened with a welcoming speech from PET Technologies CEO, Maxim Poliansky. In his speech, Mr. Poliansky emphasized that the conference has become a good tradition for PET Technologies. Meeting guests from over 10 countries of the world demonstrates a high organizational level of event and wide export geography of PET Technologies.
Eduardo Martinez, President of the Mexican Plastic Recycling Association and CEO of Plasticos a La Medida (Mexico), was the first to report on the “Cycle economy of PET bottle”. Mr. Martines report was supplemented by editor of the heidelberg business media GmbH PETplanet Insider magazine, Heike Fischer. Presenting the results of recent European studies on the rPET use, she highlighted the issue of plastic recycling in EU.
Alena Muravchenko, Head of Marketing, Retal, presented report on “Worldwide trends in PET packaging” in the context of the trend towards the use of recycled plastic. She also presented the latest Retal developments – the lightweight Relight preform and the closures that cannot be torn from the bottle.
PET Technologies representatives made 2 reports on our recent development. In the first, Valentina Skidan, Artist presented an informative and vivid report on “World trends of PET bottle design”. After conducting a large analytical study, Valentina demonstrated unique design features of PET containers for various product categories as well as general design trends of PET packaging industry.
In the second report, Roland Stoerer, Managing Director, PET Technologies GmbH (Austria) and Igor Chepela, Head of blow molds R&D department, PET Technologies presented audience the innovative development – test blow mold made in 1 day, using a 3D printer.
The partners of the company and co-organizers of the 5th International Conference – Thermo-Pack Packaging Equipment Plant presented 2 reports, as part of their presentation. First, “Warehouse logistics system as part of filling lines” from Alexander Prilutsky spoke about new solutions supplied by the company, not only for bottling but also for warehouse logistics. The topic of new business activities was picked up by Dmitry Bogovik, Sales Director and Anna Tikhonova, Head of production services department.
The first day of the conference ended with a tour of PET Technologies production plant. Where guests could see how our blow molding equipment is made and also be among the first to see brand new design of the APF-3002 blow molding machine, as well as how PET keg is blown on APF-30 blow molder and check out small part of PET bottles designs, created over the years by PET Technologies R&D on the display.
On the 5th of October, Conference guests had an opportunity to visit Thermo-Pack production plant in Bila Tserkva and see firsthand where the bottling lines are created.
