The idea behind WAUDOG Fun Crush was based on a clear behavioral insight. Dogs are naturally attracted to chewing and squeaking toys, responding to both sound and mechanical feedback during play. The idea was to reproduce this interaction using a PET bottle as the core functional element. The goal was to transform this behavior into a safe, durable, and well-designed solution suitable for frequent play.

The result is a lightweight, interactive dog toy built around a PET bottle as its core functional element, combining engineered structure with play-oriented design. This is a unique, personalized bottle design solution for the client, which was also realized in blow molds for bottle production. 

Bottle Design and Engineering Approach

The bottle became the toy itself. Its geometry was developed specifically for this application:

• No standing base, as it is not required for the product
• A toy-oriented shape with round side elements
• A reinforced central section with ribbing for structural strength

This ribbed middle section plays a key role. It helps the bottle maintain its shape under repeated compression while also making it easier for the dog to grip and chew.

How the Toy Works

At the core of WAUDOG Fun Crush is a simple but effective combination of elements:

• Squeaker cap mounted on the neck
• Protective textile cover
