In the March 23, 2026 issue, PETplanet Insider features an article about a project by PET Technologies, highlighting long-term cooperation with Mykulynetsky Brovar, one of Ukraine’s historic beverage producers. The customer aimed to optimize production while maintaining a diverse and visually distinct product range, where multiple formats and frequent mold changes were reducing efficiency and increasing downtime.

To address this, PET Technologies developed a unified bottle solution for 1 L and 1.5 L formats, suitable for beer, soft drinks, and water. Together with the implementation of the APF-Max 8 automatic blow molding machine, this approach reduced the number of mold sets, simplified production, and ensured consistent bottle quality. NIR heating provided stable material distribution, while a narrow preform weight range maintained flexibility without compromising performance.

As a result, the production reached up to 12,000 bottles per hour, effectively doubling output compared to previous equipment, while faster mold changeovers allowed the manufacturer to respond more efficiently during peak demand.

This case highlights how a combination of bottle design, equipment engineering, and process optimization can deliver measurable improvements in efficiency without limiting product variety. For manufacturers facing similar challenges, it offers a clear example of how a well-designed, customized solution can streamline operations and support business growth.
