First sale

Every story has its beginning. PET Technologies started in 1999. Like most companies that produce or manufacture goods, they initially focused on the domestic market. However, after a few years, the domestic market became too limited, and they decided it was time to expand internationally.

The journey began slowly; in 2004, PET Technologies participated in an exhibition in Eastern Europe. From there came first international client – a company from Central Asia. You may have read on PET Technologies website or through LinkedIn newsletter about this client – Alex Saryagash from Kazakhstan, which produces bottled water and has so far purchased 18 automatic blow molding machines.

At that time, Alex Saryagash operated an enormous park of only semi-automatic machines. The story about this whole sale is long and crazy, with twists and turns involving a personal meeting between the companies’ founders at a real mansion, a deal finalized in an airport parking lot right before a plane’s departure, and crossing an entire desert just to deliver blowing equipment. And so, for the first time PET Technologies supplied two automatic machines with a productivity of 3,000 bottles per hour internationally. With the help of PET Technologies, they managed to drastically reduce number of operators from hundreds to just a handful for automatic machines, this resulted in an impressive increase in profit.

While the whole situation was rather comical, it highlighted the quality that all clients of PET Technologies still note to this day: the client-oriented approach, deep understanding of the demand and active cooperation. These not only include the ability to personally meet the client but also adaptability in equipment, the speed of service teams in assisting the client, and the technical solutions that address the clients’ most important needs.

Despite the challenges of time, distance of over 1000 km, and lack of experience, the first-ever sale was a remarkable success, sparking a 20-year partnership. This highlights the strong and productive relationships PET Technologies builds with its clients, where one client can end up with three or four generations of blow molding equipment.

The next region to appear on the map was Europe. Being a neighboring region, it’s easier to build personal relationships as visiting each other’s plants and offices can be done within hours. A new region

In 2008, PET Technologies took part in an exhibition in Germany. The result wasn’t particularly successful or fruitful. Until there appeared a client from the Middle East, and there was a spark. As you can see, exhibitions in one region brought PET Technologies clients from completely others, such are the particularities of fate.

As the Middle East grew rapidly, PET Technologies worked tirelessly to fit into the market, becoming an affordable and reliable choice for many water and beverage producers. With over 100 installed blow molding machines in the region, PET Technologies established a maintenance hub to ensure clients always had access to necessary parts and service assistance. This approach addressed one of the most pressing issues in the industry – service availability – for a client this meets the immediate demand. But what about the technical adaptation of PET Technologies’ equipment?

As a client in a warmer climate, you will appreciate PET Technologies’ innovative approach to cooling technologies. Understanding the need for blowing machines to operate efficiently in hot climates, PET Technologies introduced additional conditioning solutions. This feature has now become a standard option for all their blowing machines.

Moreover, PET Technologies’ commitment to customization means that you receive tailored solutions for your specific needs. For instance, a special version of blowing machine specifically for milk bottle blowing, ensuring that you get the most efficient and effective equipment for your production requirements.

Results of the second decade

The 2010s marked saw the introduction of two of most important markets today for PET Technologies – North America and Latin America.

As a client in Latin America, you can benefit greatly from PET Technologies’ extensive presence in the region, now spanning nine countries. It all started with a successful sale in Argentina to a chemical solvent manufacturer, demonstrating our capability to provide universal, high-tech equipment that can produce up to 100,000 containers per month.

Then came a project in Suriname, a small country with limited access to the advanced technological infrastructure. The easy maintenance and reliability of equipment turned out to be a key requirement of the company owner. Once carried out a bid, PET Technologies turned out to be the optimal solution.

In Mexico, PET Technologies has become a leading provider, working efficiently with both small businesses and large corporations. Corporations are particularly eager to acquire blow molds from PET Technologies, often resulting in a machine sale following a mold sale and vice versa.
